God can do amazing things

It's funny how things happen all at once. You are loving life for the most part (work is hardly ever enjoyable, but who really likes getting up to go to work and miss out on your family or both you and your husbands cars being in the shop so many times you could have a new car by now. but that's besides the point). You have a beautiful little family that you are enjoying every single moment. What could be better? When I started my 5 week challenge I had NO idea what I was in for! Yes I knew that I would have to exercise 4x's a week for at least 25 minutes and that I had to memorize a scripture verse each week. But so many amazing things have happened since I started this challenge. I have become more in love with God than I ever have been and so has my husband. We have both grown in our spiritual walks. We only want the best for our daughter and for her to have a love for the Father as we do. I have also been pushed to get off my behind and work out , i have mentioned before I have horrible restless leg syndrome and since I have been working out I have had no long nights where I don't sleep because of it and I feel great!!! I also had something great last Thursday (of which I cannot say but might unveil later) Today I also had an appointment with an Elizabethtown College Advisor about going through the Adult Accelerated Degree Program in January! I will be striving to get my Associates in Human Services, one class will be 5 weeks and i only take one class at a time plus it's all online so I will be able to still see my husband and baby the same amount. I am very excited about this because first I never really did well went I went to HACC after I graduated and I want to prove to myself that I can do it. Second this is what I want to do and I feel God has been leading me. I want to make a difference in children's lives. I want the children who don't feel safe in their own home to feel safe again. I want them to feel loved. This journey will be hard but with God and my family behind me I CAN DO IT! I thought because my husband was in school and Emma just being born that I wouldn't be able to go after my dreams because I had a family to take care of, and a job. It would be overload for me. But when my husband inquired information about this program i thought sure i'll meet with someone and see how it goes. But I came home from that meeting wanting to chase after my dreams and strive to get my associates then maybe my bachelors and possibly even my masters. And I have God and my husband to thank!!!! (And of course my family for supporting me through my whole life) Sorry this was a long one guys but I thought I had to share everything that God has been doing in my life and my precious little family. God is good all the time, ALL the time God is GOOD!!

But since I have started working out I have had no problems with my legs at night and have gotten a great nights sleep!! Thank you God!!!!!

The things I want my daughter to know and learn

There are so many things that I want my daughter to know and to learn. One of my favorite artists puts it perfectly- Mark Shultz She was watching.

- love God, love your family, love people and most importantly love yourself. I want you to be able to see the actresses and say i'm beautiful. Not "I wish I was as pretty or skinny as her."
-I want you to be yourself.
-I want you to be able to look at your father and I and know what real love is and how a man should treat her properly. I want you to grow up knowing who you are
-Get down and get dirty.
-Beat the boys at their own games. This means beat pappy at the board games and beat daddy at the sports.
-Be spiritual. Admire all the beauty surrounding this world and give God praise.
-Read something every day, even though you are only three months right now your mommy and daddy have been reading to you every day. Reading expands your imagination and lets you go places you've never been.
-Have confidence in yourself.
-Be a sister, daughter and friend.
These are only a few things. The most important thing of all. Wherever you are you, or where you are in your life. You can ALWAYS come home your father and I will ALWAYS be there for you waiting.

It's the small things in life

It's the small things in my life that make me incredibly happy. Like seeing my daughter smile, hearing her giggle or seeing her roll over. But one the best things is watching Marty j take Emma and read her a book. I love parenthood, watching my daughter grow and watching my husband be an amazing father to Emma!! God is good all the time!

Living and Active 5 Week Challenge

So i was browsing through Facebook this morning and found this challenge on one of my friend's wall. Curious about it i clicked on it to see what it was all about. I have been wanting to get back into exercising for awhile now. But due to my surgery I wasn't able to. But now that work has started again and i'm feeling a lot better i really have no excuse! My husband and I want to start eating more healthy and exercising. Especially with a little one in the house we want to set a good example for our daughter through living and being active. I want my daughter to grow up loving God and being in his word as well as living a healthy lifestyle. So next Monday the challenge starts. Anyone with me?
